Cheers To Good Self

I just gotten over some kinda big health scare. For now.

The apprehensions and anxieties had been quite unnerving for me since the start of the new year. For one month of fretting and mental stress, I was losing bunches of hair.

I do not want to revive and relive the old nightmares. If ever.

The painful test. Over. The good news. Out.

Am breathing much easier now and unmasking the face of mock nonchalance. Because I know it's not easy for those who cared too.

Cheers to good health! For all of us.

Am I Stoopid?

One tele conversation took place in the late evening on the thirteenth February 2006:

Me: Wei? Are you going home already?

Mr. Gecko: Nope. Going to buy your Valentine's Day pressie.

Me: Tell me what are you buying for me please??!!! Tell me lah!!!
*Several similar pestering pleas follow suit in rapid succession*

Mr. Gecko: *reluctantly* Still looking at a few shops. I am thinking of a small diamond necklace or ring for you...

Me: *dramtically* NNNNNOOOOO!!!! I no need no expensive jewellery please!!! And I only want ONE expensive diamond ring from you but only at the right time!!!! Dun buy the jewellery for me please please...
*pleaded several times*

Mr. Gecko: Woo~~ What you want then?

Me: mmm... you can buy some books for me. I will go choose.

Mr. Gecko: Huh............

Am I stoopid? Stones for books? Stupidly, I think not leh.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only for those who are interested to know, we had a nice dinner on Val's Day.

Mr. Gecko asked me to relate the story about how long we had to wait to be served at a particular Indonesian restaurant which was not even crowded in the first place. We eventually moved to another location for dinner. I see no point expanding the tangy flavors since I appreciate the loving notes more.

All In The Name of Good Fun!

Mr. Gecko and me set up a little flea market booth outside Cineleisure in the name of fun last Saturday!!! We were just selling Etude, a Korean brand of make-up and skincare products - the one Korean movie star Song Hae Gyo uses to doll herself up!

And I make a LOSS!!! :(

A small loss though, in exchange for alternative fun and a joyful way to spend another weekend. I also like how all the initial event plannings effected excitment to those who were concerned about my first flea market venture, with lotsa suggestions coming fro from what, where, how to whom I could pitch my little fleamarket business.

In the end, all the sales were supported by family and friends only. *blushing deeply~~* I want to thank all my friends and sibs who came down specially and lend support in all sorts of way.

Special mention goes to Mr. Gecko who repeatedly disuaded and turned a blind eye to my bizarre bazaar idea initially but eventually caved in to my stubborn streak and lent a big hand to set up and man my little stall throughout the day. And had some fun himself too.

Also, not forgetting my gratitude to Mr. Gecko's brother, AK3, and his girlfriend. Both of whom stayed on for more than 3 hours in Cineleisure just to wait for us to close stall and drive us and my unsold stocks home!

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! From the bottom of my heart.

Geekdom's Updated!

I'm happy though I heaved a big breath of relief when I finally approved my own blog entry.

While I felt there's room for further improvement for Geekdom, I am slowly getting the hang of it and loving the whole creative process. Am looking forward to update my Geekdom more often.

Hope you will enjoy my very humble thoughts on Enid Blyton!

Spring Cleaning

Mr. Gecko's mommy and sis-in-law think me kiddish *not childish huh*

Mr. Gecko bought a piglet soft toy for me when he visited Hong Kong's Disneyland. Or anywhere.

A mutual friend of ours bought a Piglet glass globe for me when they went for their honeymoon in Paris.

My friends bought only toys for me on birthdays until recently they realised when we laughed these days, we all have crows' feet.

I never buy soft toys myself but am not guilt-free from buying too many related merchandise. Like glass painted mushrooms that look like they sprouted from fairyland.

I never knew the clutter of toys I have until it's time for spring cleaning.

Till now, with a still burgeoning toys' population, I always have to dig for new space at home and ended up having to migrate some older toys to wherever space is.
